..AS WE WORSHIP THIS WEEKEND..
Welcome Friend to a congregation who believes that Christ changes all things through the power of his resurrection. Know that you are welcome here. Take time to rest a moment and pray. What God is doing here is for both God’s glory and your peace and joy. Hear God’s word for our living this week, sing God’s praises, give thanks and then go on your way to serve the Lord with God’s blessing. We ask that everyone please sign the Attendance Register at the end of the pew and include your address and phone number. If you are looking for a church home, we invite you to consider Trinity Lutheran. Please allow us to worship with you again soon!
We have had 13 young people complete the early communion class. They will be taking their first communion over the next few weeks. Ariana Hosler and Erika McFrederick will be receiving their First Communion at the 10:45 Sanctuary service this weekend. We rejoice with these young people as they reach this milestone.
SANCTUARY ALTAR FLOWERS are given by Don and Shirley Price in loving memory of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Price, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gault, Phil and Bill Gault; and by Mrs. Ed Fulton and family in memory of Mr. Ed. Fulton Sr.

OUR 10:45 RADIO BROADCAST on WNCO-AM 1340 is given by David and Diana Kowalka to the Glory of God, in memory of G. Willis, Mildred Wentz and Art Kowalka, and in honor of those who enjoy listening to the broadcast.

Please help! We are working on an inventory of the adult resources in the resource room. Please return any adult resources that you have borrowed from the resource room by the end of May. We won’t ask how long you have had them! If you are still using the resources, please e-mail me at pamtrinityashlandorg and let me know what you have. Thank you! - Pam Prezioso
THANK YOU all for coming to the Lord’s house to enjoy Wednesday Night Suppers with us at Trinity. Looking forward to seeing all of you in the fall when Wednesday Night Suppers start again. Thanks to all the volunteers for your support. God’s Blessings to all. - The Kitchen Staff

The need for food and taxable items has increased. THANK YOU!
Sermons on the Web: If you have access to the internet you are now able to listen to sermons from our Sanctuary worship services that you may have missed or that have particular meaning for you. Check out our new and improved website at www.trinityashland.org. Find the tab marked “Worship.” A drop down menu appears. Scroll down and click on “Sermons” and a list of available sermons appear. You may listen to them at your computer or download them to your mp3 device and listen as you drive, meditate or jog down the street. Take the word of God with you in your daily walk!
DON’T MISS OUT!! We still have Indians Tickets for this coming Saturday night, May 24, at 7 p.m. So that they do not go to waste, we are going to lower the price of the tickets to OUR cost…$10 a piece. Those of you who bought them at $15 may request a refund if you would like. The Young Adult & Family Ministry just wants the tickets to be used. So, call in or stop in at the front desk this week & snatch em UP! The Tribe is finally HEATING UP…. For Memorial Day weekend, let’s warm to the fun, food & fellowship of a night that will not only include a great game, but a free Grady Sizemore Bobble-Head give-away and a FREE Christian Concert following the game!
You are invited TO ATTEND “A Service of Remembrance Honoring the Deceased Veterans of the City of Ashland” next Sunday, May 25, at 7 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, at the corner of Claremont and Smith. A number of Trinity singers and instrumentalists will join the Christ UM choir in presenting Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem as part of the service. This well-known concert setting of the traditional Latin funeral text emphasizes the rest and peace that comes to those who die in the Lord. This is a unique opportunity on Memorial Day weekend to meditate on and thank God for the sacrifices of many persons over the years.
...UPCOMING EVENTS…
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL NEEDS YOU!
Dates: June 16 - 20
Time: 9 a.m. to NOON each day
Vacation Bible School is one of the most important ways we can spread the Good News of God’s love to the children of our community and congregation!
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
> PRAY for the Directors, Lab Station Leaders, and Lab Crew Leaders.
> BE A LAB CREW LEADER - Similar to a “shepherd,” crew leaders take small groups of children from station to station. No advanced preparation for this role, just a heart for making this a powerful experience for the children in your “crew.” Requirement: Be at least high school age and love working with children. Please call Sheila Glazier or Neally Mullins if you are interested in playing this vital role!
> DONATE TOWARD VBS SNACKS - Please Call Joyce Picking at 419-281-1135 and she can schedule your donation. We need the following items for our snacks during the week: Bags of M&M’s, cans of vanilla frosting, vanilla pudding cups, Jello cups, vanilla wafers, vanilla ice cream cups, maraschino cherries, grape soda in cans, Ritz crackers, cans of Easy Cheese (American or Cheddar), 8 oz. tubs of Cool Whip, 15 oz. cans of lite sliced peaches, 15 oz cans of mandarin oranges.
> FINANCIAL DONATIONS NEEDED THIS YEAR - Because of the many special things the kids of VBS will be doing, we can use your financial assistance to make this week a really great experience for over 320 children who attend! Contact Dawn Forbes if you are able to help.
> REGISTER YOUR CHILD OR A YOUNG FRIEND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Because we are grouping the children into small “crews,” it is very helpful if we have as many registered ahead of time as possible. A VBS registration form will be included in the June newsletter. Forms are also available in the church office and at the Information Desk after worship on May 25, June 1, 8, & 15.
For information about this exciting ministry, contact Dawn Forbes, Sheila Glazier, Neally Mullins, Heather Jurjevic or Kate Kaeser as soon as possible.
BIBLEFEST 2008 The closing program for VBS will be held Friday, June 20, at 6 p.m. in Jack’s Place. All VBS families are invited to join us for a time of fun, fellowship and praise as we take a look at our week at Power Lab, thank our volunteers and praise God for a marvelous week! After our program we will have a time to share in great food and games and that’s where we need your help.
If you would be willing to help with a Biblefest Game, please contact Sheila Glazier or Neally Mullins. They would be glad to schedule you for one of the games shifts.
READING ENRICHMENT SCHOLARSHIPS NEEDED: Reading Enrichment is scheduled for July 7-18, and we have over 50 children registered already this year! Many of those families have requested some financial help to attend. Cost of the program is $30 per child and if you would be willing to provide a scholarship for one or more children, please contact Dawn Forbes.
