Young Adult & Family Ministry

Welcome to the Young Adult & Family Ministry page on the Trinity Website. This aspect of Trinity's ministry is made up of a committed team of young adults who work with Pastor Jeff (Trinity's Young Adult Pastor), to build up the spiritual life of young adults at Trinity. Our ministry takes many forms and reaches a wide variety of people in different life situations.
Some examples of Trinity's Young Adult & Family Ministry include:
1) A "Bridging Ceremony" for High School Seniors at graduation time to symbolize the "crossing over" from childhood to young adulthood.
2) Ministry to college students, including those who grew up at Trinity and are off at school, as well as Lutheran students at Ashland University.
3) Ministry to Young Families is a significant aspect of Trinity's Young Adult Ministry. We have a large number of Sunday School classes for young couples. All of these classes are vital, active, caring communities where fellowship, Bible Study, mission, and service take place.
4) Monthly Young Family Outings are a regular part of our ministry to young families. Such activities range from canoeing, bowling, game nights, movie nights, scrapbooking, fishing, water skiing, camping, white water rafting, paintball, Indians and Cavs games, and more.
Trinity Traders
Throughout history, in every generation, there have been TRADERS.
Usually when we think of that term, we might think of someone who trades ONE thing for ANOTHER. With that in mind, perhaps it could be said that throughout HIS-story...GOD's story...He's had an underground movement of TRADERS.
A Trader is a new kind of missionary, not defined by geography, but by a resolve to:
1. Choose Daily
2. Hate Injustice
3. Work as Worship
4. Act Swiftly
[A TRADER is] marked by a willingness to apply the Parable of the Good Samaritan and “go and do likewise.”
Being a TRADER means being intentional with your time, your money and your passions.
Christianity should be a verb, not a noun.
It’s a movement that requires us to LIVE out our faith … not just talk about it.
At Trinity, a group of college & career aged 20- to early 30-somethings are forming to come together in pursuit of living this sort of life. Will you join us?
