Senior Adult Ministry
At Trinity, we minister to people of all ages. We are mindful of the needs of our seniors and provide programs and opportunities for fellowship and service.
Senior Adult Appreciation
A wonderful time was had by all at our Senior Adult Recognition Dinner on Saturday, July 31, 2010. This year our theme was "In the Good Old Summertime" and we had a picnic theme. Our group was entertained by the "Good Company" Barbershop Quartet. The SALT (Serving And Learning Together) Sunday School class took care of set up, decorating, and the food. Class members involved were Ed & Diane Henricksen, Tim & Marlene Krisko, Tim & Jeanne Saner, and Steve Shelly. Tony Box, our council representative was invaluable and jumped in to do whatever was needed. Jaime Parsons led our wonderful youth in serving the meal. Thank you to all who were involved! I'm looking forward to next year.
Kathy Shelly, Coordinator
Trinity Travelers is an opportunity for us to visit various areas around our state and beyond. Four or five trips are planned during the year. A chartered bus is our usual mode of transportation. (See below for details of our next trip.)
Luther Club, a gathering of primarily retired folks, meets the first Thursday of each month. The meeting begins at noon and consists of a delicious meal and a program. (See below for details of our next luncheon.)
For more information regarding these programs, call the church office at 419-289-2126.

TRINITY TRAVELERS AUTUMN TRIP: You’re Invited: Please come along and join us on our Fall Trinity Travelers' outing to Amish country. Enjoy the “sites” of picturesque scenes of fall foliage and fields of corn husks, a slight “shopping spree,” the “aroma and dinner” of great Amish cooking, and the “sounds” of an intriguing Comedy/Mystery entertainment. The entire evening will be very enjoyable. This event takes place Thursday, October 21, at the Amish Door Village, (Restaurant, Bakery, Gifts and Theatre) Wilmot, OH. The cost is $55.00 per person which covers the cost of the dinner, show, tax, gratuity, and transportation. The meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at approximately 7:30 p.m. The bus will leave Trinity at 4 p.m. to allow some shopping time prior to dinner. We will return to Trinity at approximately 10:00 p.m. Please make your reservation by signing your name to the list on the Trinity Traveler’s bulletin board. Payment is required with your reservation. The deadline for reservations is October 8, 2010.
Luther Club
LUTHER CLUB SPECIAL OUTING! Hey Luther Clubber’s…We're doing something different on Thursday, September 2. We are traveling next door to the Good Shepherd Home to eat in the Clark Home Dining Room. There to reprise his Chatauqua Role as the former owner of the home (J.L. Clark) will be our own David Kowalka. As our host, surely he will have all kinds of history & things to tell us about his beautiful home. NOW…THIS IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT! Because we are eating over there, we need each person planning on attending to make a reservation in the church office by Monday, August 23. Our lunch will be a Turkey Croissant, Chips, Tossed Salad, Dessert, & a Drink. The cost will be $7. When you make your reservation, please pay then. We will then write just one check for the total number of meals. It should be a very fun & informative outing as we break into the fall season. Hope to see you all there!
