Opportunities for Men

Men's Bible Study

This Bible Study brings men together at 7:00 AM in Room A on the second and fourth Thursday mornings for an hour in fellowship and discussion of Biblical books and spiritual subjects.

Woodworkers Share Group

Men (and Women) who enjoy working with wood have the opportunity to work in our shop, creating various projects that equip our church and serve the needs of people in the congregation and community. Bookcases, cabinets, furniture, and ramps are some of the items that have been produced.

For more information, please contact the church office at 419-289-2126.

Biloxi Young Men's Mission Trip

You’ve perhaps heard mentioned a few times that Pastor Jeff & Pastor Mitchell will be leading two different groups of men down to Biloxi, MS this winter on hurricane relief work with Lutheran Disaster Response. Pastor Jeff has set a date that will hopefully coincide with the college breaks of most the Trinity’s male college students. We would leave on Saturday, Dec. 27th and come back on Saturday, Jan. 3rd. What a Christmas gift we would give to the folks of that devastated region. A number of men (some young and a few a little more seasoned) have spoken with Pastor Jeff already. There still is more room. If interested, contact Pastor Jeff soon to find out more about not only GIVING a great gift to others during the Holidays, but receiving one of the most memorable gifts you’ll ever experience….

The GIFT of helping others!  Feliz Navidad!!!

February Trip with Pastor Mitchell

From February 18 through February 23, we are planning to work in Biloxi, Mississippi with Lutheran Disaster Response.  They have a permanent presence there working to rebuild after hurricane Katrina. We'll travel on the day before and the day after.

We'll go by Church Van (we have a new one now!) stay in housing provided by Lutheran Disaster Response, use tools from their huge tool building, and work under their supervision.  Why February?  It's not cold in Biloxi.  Why work?  It is an honor to be meaningful in the lives of others. Why a number of men?  It's fun to be together working. Why only one week?  Because many have jobs to return to and besides,  after doing physical labor all week some of us will need the change of pace!

So far the following men have indicated an interest in going:  Don Wagner, Dave Parsons, Steve Stone, Ken Rinehart, Barry Bailey, Bob Davis, Dan Stone, and Pat Ewing.

It will be fun for some of us who are not skilled to be paired with carpenters, painters, and stone masons who are!  We'll learn a lot while serving the Lord.

If you are interested in adding your name to the list, call Pastor Mitchell at 419-289-2126.
