Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing. Then all nations will count you happy, for you will be a land of delight, says the LORD of hosts. Malachi 3:10, 12
A Message from Pastor Mitchell
Malachi, an Old Testament prophet, noticed something that happens to us in Ashland also. When we give to the work of the Lord others are blessed and so are we! We are surrounded at Trinity by folks who have decided that they want to be a blessing to others. So they give of their income and of their time and energy to be a blessing to others and to receive the blessings the Lord brings to those who are his faithful people. What Judy and I try for is the Biblical mandate of the tithe, giving 10% of our income to the work of the Lord through Trinity and other religious causes.
We have several different funds at Trinity that you can contribute to, with special gifts, as you desire to see particular ministries expanded, such as the Beacon After School Program, the Good Samaritan Fund for assisting members who get in temporary financial difficulties, the youth fund, the Christian Education Fund. The list goes on. Talk with me for details.
Our congregation's main fund is called the Operating Fund as it provides all the financial resources to operate the church. In a congregation as vigorous as Trinity, that fund always needs help!
Listed below are several ways you can join our Lord Jesus in his work through Trinity Lutheran Church. Your giving is much appreciated!
You may place your donation in the offering plate during one of our services, using the offering envelopes mailed to members (or to non-members who request them) or using an offering envelope from the pew or chair in front of you.
You may mail your donation using the mailing envelope provided in your packet of envelopes or simply mail it to Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center Street, in care of Dan Scott, our Financial Secretary.
Or for those of you who prefer to manage your finances electronically, you may take advantage of our Direct Donation Program through an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from your checking or savings account directly to the church account. Simply complete an authorization form and return it to the church office in care of Dan Scott, Financial Secretary, to begin your electronic contribution. Sign Up for Direct Debit
