Bible Studies

Bible Studies abound in the life of the parish. In addition to Sunday School and other special gatherings of folks to read and study the Bible, there are three groupings of people who gather regularly to study God's word.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

On Wednesdays in March, Pastor Jeff and Pastor Mitchell will be having a Bible study in the Main Lounge of the Church Home and will touch on some of the sticky parables of Jesus. A twist will be that each week, Ron Marenchin will be asked to select a hymn or praise song that comments on the parable. Will he find one that fits, or will he be forced to select some strange, generic song? We'll see.

The first week we'll talk about enemies. The second week about how Jesus thinks we should get paid. As you are aware, Jesus sometimes had some startling things to say.

A parable a week. A time to make comments and ask questions. (We don't get to do that during sermons!) And a time to have fun while we grow in faith.

We'll start each session at 6:20 p.m. (so you can drop off your children at choir) and conclude exactly at 7:10 (so you can pick up your children from choir). Join us starting Wednesday, March 3, at 6:20 p.m. in the Main Lounge of the Church Home.

Bible Conversations is a gathering of women who meet on Wednesday afternoons at 2:00 pm, in Room A, to explore various books of the Bible.

Men's Bible Study brings men together at 7:00 am, in Room A, on the second and fourth Thursday mornings, for an hour in fellowship and discussion of Biblical topics and spiritual subjects.

Interdenominational Study brings together women who search the scriptures and grow in faith knowledge of God's word. This group meets each Thursday morning at 9:30 am, in Room B.
