Adult Small Groups
Lenten Home Study Groups
Would you be willing to lead a weekly Lenten Bible Study starting the week of February 22 and going through the week of March 22 (5 sessions in all)? Some of the groups would be geographically oriented. Mifflin Lake, Wooster, Ashland north, Shelby, for example. Others would be leader or age oriented (gatherings of friends of the leader or in their general age category). The curriculum would be provided for you and there would be a training session toward the end of January. The meetings could be held in your home, in the home of a friend, or here at Trinity. (6 to 12 people usually) Groups of people with small children might want to meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 p.m. because of choirs and the automatic free baby sitting available. If you are interested, please call Pam Prezioso at the church.
Servants of the Monarch
If you enjoyed Rally Day's worship experience in Praise Worship, in which we learned a great deal about the real-life connections between Monarch Butterflies and our lives as Christians, then perhaps you would be interested in digging a little deeper. Many of you had an opportunity following the service to come up front and meet Michelle Denny, or “Monarch Michelle.” She has a passion for both Monarchs in her life….The Butterfly and Her Lord Jesus! Perhaps you feel this passion to and would like to become part of a Share Group with a purpose and a mission. This group would enjoy times of going out into nature and finding Crysalis’ or caterpillars, and then perhaps giving the healing gift of a chrysalis to someone who needs healing in their life physically or emotionally. Many of you experienced the joy and wonder of watching this mysterious process this past Sunday. This group could get together throughout the year and enjoy study, fellowship & a unique mission as they grow and learn together as Servants of The Monarch. If interested see or call Michelle Denny at 419-908-8950 or talk to Pastor Jeff!
Wednesday Night Groups
Are your kids singing in the choir this year and are you looking for an opportunity to learn a little while they rehearse? Maybe you could just use a mid-week pick me-up… Beginning September 16, we will have several new short-term small group opportunities here at the church. The first one is an opportunity to watch some NOOMA videos. Already watched some in Sunday school? That’s okay; we would love your insight. Don’t know what NOOMA is? That’s okay, too. These videos are only about 12 minutes long but pack in a great message in a short period of time. Each video stands alone, so don’t worry if you can’t come every week. Join us downstairs in the community room at 6:15! Watch for more opportunities at a location near you!
Advent 101 ...Starting with the Basics
As we prepare our hearts and homes for Christmas, please join Michelle Vanderzyden and Mindy Ward for a four-week study about Advent. Gain some great insight into why we observe Advent, the meaning and symbolism behind the wreath and candles, and ways that your family can celebrate this beautiful time in the church calendar together. The group will meet at Downtown Perk on Main Street in Ashland on Thursday mornings from 8:30-9:30 a.m. for coffee and conversation beginning November 12. Please call the church office if you have any questions.
